Hi Peter,

We have our OMA based IM server with XMPP interface connecting Gtalk server.

Is the SRV record mandatory for XMPP? We have some other domain which works
with Gtalk-XMPP server without SRV record.

Thanks and Regards,
Prabhu M.K

No, it is not mandatory.

It is odd that one of your domains works but the other does not. Are
they both deployed using the same software?

Check to see if the domain is activated in Google Apps. If the domain
has no SRV records, then Google will assume ownership of chat for the
domain.
