View Full Version : [Juser] problems with older accounts

Hi,

since a few days ago I can't log into my jabber.org account. I had no problems
to create a new one and log into it from the same client.

I see that other people have experienced this problem after the migration of the
db to the new machine, and I know of a few more. I guess you don't want all of
them asking for help here, since it seems to require actions on the server side.
What would be the right place to ask for help about accounts that need fixing?

I'm using pidgin 2.4.1 on debian lenny.

Thanks,
^dj

I have a global fix for damaged rosters ready, it's currently waiting
on the other admins to check it before I put it live.

In the meantime, you may as well send your username here, or directly
to me, and I'll fix yours specifically.

/K

Forget it, after reading about other people's problems with some charsets, I
tried with Psi. Logged in, changed a couple of contacts' aliases, and Pidgin
works again.

Go Psi! :)

I've been fixing people's account data individually, but perhaps my time
would be better spent checking the database-fixer script that Kevin
wrote. ;-)
