Hi everyone. Im shiraj - new to the Jabber Forum and a very basic-level beginner in Jabber. Im in the process of building an in-house Messaging Platform for my company. Was thinking of XMPP as an option to choose, in order to implement the messaging platform. Any comments. Also being a beginner, I want to have beginner's resources on XMPP. Where will i get them?

I don't know what is ERP and I am a little tired this morning so I won't search for it right now. Maybe later unless someone else answers this.
For beginner's resources, you can read this as a first step:

Well, XMPP is an easy way to setup an company messaging system. There are some factors which will probably affect your decision on what software you use.
1. How many users
2. Should it only be accessible from the inside?
3. Should it be linked to Active Directory or similar?
4. ... there's more ... but I don't remember at the moment :)

Yes sorry my previous post was rather about developer resources. But when you writes about "building an in-house Messaging Platform", in fact you meant installing IM servers/clients from what already exists, didn't you (this seems more logical as an after-thought)?
In this case, yes Florian will know better than me the exact difference between all existing solutions.
